McCartney Construction Company is committed to providing the highest quality roads for the traveling public. People in our community and from other parts of the United States will drive and ride on the roads we build and we take that responsibility seriously. Whether our customers are taking a family trip, driving a commercial truck, going to school, church, or work, we want them to be confident that the roads they drive on were built to the highest standards of safety and excellence. They can because our quality control department ensures that our asphalt is of the highest caliber. Throughout our history, we have received numerous awards and recognition for quality paving. After the completion of I-20 through Talladega County, we received the Alabama Asphalt Pavement Association’s Quality Pavement Award and were runner up for the Sheldon G. Hayes Award.

McCartney Construction produces quality hotmix asphalt from its two modern hotmix asphalt plants. Both plants are currently located at McCartney’s Speedway Quarry in Eastaboga, Alabama. These high production plants produce high quality, tight specification mixes and can be customized in accordance with your needs. McCartney maintains a full staff of highly trained quality control personnel that regularly monitor the quality of all of the company’s products in order to ensure that they meet with the customers’ specifications.

Calhoun Asphalt Company, Inc., a separate corporation from McCartney, but owned by the same people as McCartney, operates a hotmix plant in Glencoe, Alabama. Calhoun’s plant has the same capabilities as McCartney’s plants and is supported by the same quality control staff.

Together, McCartney and Calhoun’s hotmix plants are conveniently located to serve the following Alabama counties: Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Dekalb, Etowah, Marshall, Randolph, St. Clair, and Talladega.
